BlockDAG Network

A Scalable and Upgradeable Layer 1 Blockchain Built on DAG Architecture

Delivered a production-ready Layer 1 DAG infrastructure with parallel processing, deterministic execution, and zero-downtime upgrades, fully compatible with the existing Web3 ecosystem.

About the Client

The client is a large-scale manufacturing enterprise operating across multiple production facilities with high dependency on continuous machine operations and synchronized supply chains.

Due to NDA constraints, specific details such as company name, geography, and website cannot be disclosed. However, the organization specializes in industrial production with complex, multi-stage manufacturing workflows involving heavy machinery, supplier networks, and logistics coordination.

The Problem

Traditional blockchain systems use a linear structure, which limits their ability to handle growing transaction volumes. As usage increases, this leads to congestion, slower confirmations, and higher costs.

DAG-based architecture enables parallel block creation but introduces coordination challenges. Without a clear global transaction order, maintaining consistent execution across nodes becomes difficult, especially for smart contracts.

Upgrades in decentralized networks can lead to downtime or chain splits if not managed carefully. Variable block production also impacts token supply predictability, while the system must still remain compatible with existing developer tools.
To address these challenges, the client aimed to build a Layer 1 infrastructure that supports parallel processing while maintaining deterministic execution, stable upgrades, and long-term network consistency.

The Objective

The client defined clear goals to guide the development of a scalable and reliable Layer 1 system. The primary objectives were to:
Support high transaction volumes without performance degradation
Ensure consistent execution of smart contracts across all nodes
Enable controlled network upgrades without operational disruption
Maintain predictable token distribution over time
Support seamless developer adoption and ecosystem growth

The Solution

Antier designed a multi-layered Layer 1 infrastructure built on DAG architecture, focused on solving coordination and execution challenges in a parallel environment. The system was built as a complete operational ecosystem, combining infrastructure, interaction layers, and user-facing components.
01.
Parallel Processing Architecture
Enabled simultaneous block creation to remove linear bottlenecks
02.
Deterministic Execution Layer
Ensured all nodes arrive at the same transaction outcome
03.
Upgrade Orchestration System
Coordinated node updates in a controlled sequence to avoid disruption
04.
