We Indians are grown up in an environment in which each festival has its own significance. Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, is one of the most awaited occasions in which everyone likes to spend time with family and friends.
This time, we thought of having a nostalgic feeling of celebrating Diwali in Metaverse, and we did it successfully on 21st October 2022. The metaverse festival started at 3 p.m and the employees continued to have merriment inside the metaverse until 4:30 p.m. They entered the digital twin of Antier’s corporate office, which was decorated specially for Diwali celebrations. Here, they were free to eat, drink, dance, and spend joyful moments with their colleagues. They could also play with firecrackers and watch mesmerizing views up above the sky.
Unlike our childhood days, when Diwali celebrations used to start before time and continued for two-three days even after the actual date, we have become tied up with our professional obligations. Therefore, we tend to go digital and in the past few years, the celebrations became sluggish due to Covid19 Pandemic. Now, when the world is overcoming the hazards of Coronavirus infection, Indians are trying to resume their traditional functions, but we did it in a different way.
Since Diwali was to be observed on 24th October, and there were two more festivals in continuation, the company announced holidays from 24th to the 26th of October 2022. Antier’s team of technologists embraced the traditions with a touch of modernity. They decided to create a metaverse for Diwali celebrations, and all employees were formally invited to enjoy the party time and play with firecrackers on Friday, 21st October 2022.
As a majority of employees belong to different states and wanted to join their families on special occasions, they were full of enthusiasm to attend the corporate event on 21st October at their workplace, and then go back to their respective homes to enjoy a prolonged weekend. This way, they did not have to skip the real-world Diwali festivities, family bonding, traditional rituals, delicious food, sweets, and much more.
Being blockchain and metaverse experts, we thought of digitizing our Diwali celebrations, and it was truly a fun-filled event. Let’s find out how it helped to make a difference:
In the current times, when our lives have become uncomparably busy, the Antier team tried to find the best way of enjoying one of the biggest festivals, Diwali, in its own way. Being a blockchain and metaverse champion, the techies decided to provide an immersive experience of celebrating Diwali in Metaverse. It’s enabled the employees to join the festive event as their 3D avatars and participate in different activities that can sparkle the festive vibe.
It was the time when all participants were having a share of immersive experiences of enjoying the DJ party, enjoying drinks, and lighting crackers. This time, Antier created a metaverse for the festival for its internal usage, but they can help other organizations to try the same.
